Bamboo Double Laundry Hamper

The Bamboo Double Laundry Hamper from Noreya splits the washing before it ever reaches the machine. Two 13.2 gallon compartments sit side by side under a lid, so darks and lights, or clean and dirty, stay apart without a second basket taking up floor space somewhere else in the room. Total capacity is 26.4 gallons.

The frame is powder coated metal with bamboo panels, and it stands 20.5 inches long by 12.6 wide by 24.8 high, which fits the gap beside most washing machines and under most bathroom counters. Rope handles at either end mean you carry the whole thing rather than tipping an armful into a second basket. The finish is natural bamboo, which warms up a room of white tile, and the weight capacity is 22 pounds.

Both liners are cloth, detachable and washable, so the hamper itself never has to go near the machine. Lift them out, empty them, and wash them with the load. The lid keeps the contents and the smell out of sight, which matters if the hamper lives in a bedroom rather than a utility room. Keep bamboo out of standing water and wipe any splashes dry, and the panels will not warp or lift at the joints over a winter of damp laundry.
