6ft Olive Tree with Natural Wood Trunk

The 6ft Olive Tree from Noreya is the one with a real wood trunk, which is what separates a faux tree that reads as a plant from one that reads as a prop. The leaves are rubber silk with the grey-green cast and slight irregularity of the real thing, and small olives sit among them. At six feet it fills the corner a sofa leaves empty.

Every branch has a metal wire running through it, so you can bend the shape rather than accept the one it arrives in. Open it out for a full canopy or thin it down for something sparer and more architectural. Whatever you set, it holds. The trunk comes pre-installed on a weighted base, so assembly is a matter of shaping branches rather than building anything.

There is no watering, no light requirement and nothing to drop on the floor. A wipe with a damp cloth every few weeks is the whole maintenance schedule. The materials are fire retardant and odourless, which matters for a piece this size in a bedroom or a closed office. Keep it out of prolonged direct sun, which fades any faux foliage over time, and turn it a quarter every so often so one side does not flatten against the wall.
