The Nordic Wave Wall Light from Noreya is a minimal LED sconce with a gentle curve through the body, so it reads as a shape on the wall as much as a source of light. Switched off during the day it still does something for the room. Switched on at night it throws a soft wash up and down the wall rather than a hard spot.

The body is aluminium with an acrylic diffuser, 65 by 80 by 480mm, slim enough for a hallway where anything deeper would catch a shoulder. It comes in black or white, with warm, cool or three colour light depending on the variant you choose. The three colour option is the flexible one, since a corridor and a bedroom rarely want the same light temperature.

It is sized for a room of roughly eight to twelve square metres, which covers most bedrooms, hallways and home offices. Fitted in a row it works along a landing; fitted in pairs it works either side of a bed or a mirror. The LED is integrated rather than replaceable, so treat it as a fitting with a long service life and mount it to a level line. Dust the acrylic diffuser with a dry cloth to keep the light even.
