Four in One Knife Sharpener

$47.99
Coarse to fine edge in one tool
Sharpens scissors as well as knives
Wide base stays put on the worktop

The Four in One Knife Sharpener from Noreya puts a full sharpening sequence into one handheld body. Diamond and tungsten slots do the coarse work on a blade that has gone properly dull, a ceramic slot finishes the edge, and a fourth slot handles scissors. A blunt kitchen knife is more dangerous than a sharp one, because it slips across food instead of cutting into it.

The body is stainless steel with a soft grip handle and a wide base, so it stays put on a worktop while you draw the blade through. Start at the coarse stage only if the edge is badly worn, then move to ceramic for a clean finish; two or three light pulls do more than a dozen heavy ones. Colours run from plain black to red, cyan and yellow green.

It is not suitable for serrated blades, and ceramic knives should be left to a specialist. Keep it dry rather than putting it in the dishwasher, since standing water dulls the abrasives. Store it out of reach of children, and test an edge on a sheet of paper rather than a fingertip. Used gently and kept dry, it will keep a set of knives working for years.

A Sharp Edge In Three Pulls

Two or three light pulls do more than a dozen heavy ones. A blunt knife slips across food and a sharp one cuts into it, which is the safer way round.

Four Slots, One Small Body

Diamond and tungsten slots do the coarse work on a properly dull blade, ceramic finishes the edge, and a fourth slot handles scissors. One handheld body covers the whole sequence.

Steady On The Worktop

Stainless steel with a soft grip handle and a wide base, so it stays where you put it while you draw the blade through. Choose plain black, red, cyan or yellow green.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use it properly?

Start at the coarse diamond or tungsten stage only if the edge is badly worn, then move to the ceramic slot to finish. Two or three light pulls do more than a dozen heavy ones.

What can I sharpen with it?

Straight edged kitchen knives across all three blade stages, plus scissors in the fourth slot. It is not suitable for serrated blades, and ceramic knives are best left to a specialist.

Will it slip while I am using it?

The wide base and soft grip handle keep it steady on a worktop, so you can hold it with one hand and draw the blade through with the other.

What is it made of?

The body is stainless steel with a soft grip handle, built to take repeated use rather than to be replaced every season.

What colours are available?

Plain black if you want it to disappear in a drawer, or red, cyan and yellow green if you would rather spot it at a glance.
